With Cost Manager™ 2009,  you can visually monitor differences between your project budget and actual cost. Using a unique graphic display, Cost Manager enables you to quickly identify exceeded budgets and track down the source of any issues.

Vico Software Cost Manager 2009 gives you the tightest possible control over your project’s budget. With this straightforward visual monitoring system, you can easily grasp and communicate project cost variances, and compare them to targeted costs. Cost Manager’s unique graphic interface provides a color-coded macro-level view of project costs. This clear picture immediately allows you to analyze variances, and track them to individual project elements.

Vico Software Cost Manager 2008 Features & Benefits

Vico Software Cost Manager™ grants the tightest possible control over your project’s budget. With this straightforward visual monitoring system, you easily grasp and communicate project cost variances, and compare them to targeted costs

Target Cost Editor

The concept of Target Costing helps to define and control a budget or a baseline cost estimate. By defining targets, a bandwidth for the project’s budget is established. Updated values can then be compared against them.

Define Specified Target Costs
Increase budget control by setting Target Costs. With the Target Cost Editor, known budgets for parts of the cost breakdown can be defined. This can be done as a cost value or as a percentage of the overall budget.


Divide Remaining Budget
Increase accuracy and granularity on-the-fly. When known items of the cost breakdown have been specified, the remaining budget is automatically divided to the unknown budgets for items in the cost breakdown structure. The level of detail can be increased throughout the project’s phases. This makes defining a set of Target Costs easy and follows the project cycle.

Cost Estimating Version Import

Easily Track cost changes. Versions of a cost estimate (either from Microsoft® Excel™ or Vico Software Estimator™) can be imported into the Vico Software Cost Manager project and compared against the target costs.

Import from Estimator
After exporting an Intermediate Data Set from Vico Estimator, the generated snapshot of the estimate can be imported in the Cost Manager project. During the import, all Recipe, Method and Resource data are imported, as well as any associated quantities.

Import from Excel
Benefit from Cost Manager 2008 functionality – even when using simple Excel spreadsheets as your data source. Cost Manager allows for the importing of this type of estimate by means of an Excel Import Wizard. The wizard helps users to specify step–by-step where cost descriptions and values are located in the spreadsheet..

Project Data Panel


Recipes, Methods, and Resources by Location
when cost estimating data are exported from Vico Estimator, all data are visible by Location in the Project Data Panel. In case of Microsoft Excel files, all line items are included as individual lines in the same Data Panel. In addition to descriptions and costs, quantities associated with these cost items are shown.

Side-by-Side Comparison
Cost Manager provides effective comparison tools which enable tight control over changes. Versions of cost estimating content are compared side-by-side when activated in the comparison. Cost and quantity variations can be easily identified.

Add Comment Callouts
During analysis and comparison of the cost information in Cost Manager, notes can be added to cost items that appear as callouts when hovering over the item after it is saved.

Vico Software 5D Presenter Integration

Tight integration with Vico’s Virtual Construction™ product suite enables users to visualize cost items in the 5D model. Simply select cost items in Cost Manger and choose the “Highlight in Vico Software 5D Presenter™” option. Any 3D Model elements associated with the selected cost item will be highlighted, and other geometry is made translucent. This function further increases the communication support that Cost Manager offers to the entire project team.

หลังจากโมเดลอาคาร 3 มิติแล้ว โปรแกรม Estimator 2009 นี้พร้อมที่จะรับข้อมูลการจำลองอาคาร 3 มิติจาก Constructor เพื่อทำการคำนวณปริมาณวัสดุจากโมเดลอาคารที่สร้างด้วย Vico Constructor ได้อย่างลงตัว พร้อมทั้งแยกตำแหน่งชิ้นส่วนโครงสร้างให้อัตโนมัติ หากมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงขนาดจำนวนในโมเดลอาคาร 3 มิติจะทำให้ Estimator สามารถ ที่จะปรับปรุงปริมาณวัสดุและค่าแรงได้ทันทีอย่างอัตโนมัติ ลดการทำงานผิดพลาดจากการต้องทำการถอดปริมาณวัสดุซ้ำซ้อน เพราะเครียด น่าเบื่อ และมีเวลาที่จำกัด
